We've taken over Africa! Very soon it won’t be ‘African music’; it will just be ‘Nigerian music’. Tru yarns!
--- One of my fave Naija MCs, M.I. is firmly in the news again. Chocolate City Ent, M.I's record label, recently announced plans to release the talented emcees debut project 'Talk About It'. The album is slated for a November 1st release and its set to contain M.I's ever-increasing catalog of hits. Hits such as the award-winning 'Crowd Mentality', the smash hit 'Safe' featuring Djinee and your favourite DJ's favourite song 'Blaze'.
There will be an exclusive listening party to be held in Lagos on the 1st of November 2008 which will draw top personalities people from the TV, Radio and Print media as well as music industry big wigs in and around Nigeria and the United Kingdom
(P.S: Big ups to my big uncle, Audu Maikori)

--- I think this my blog is starting to gain a little relevance in Naija music circles o. About two weeks ago, I went in a little hard on some artistes for not releasing any albums even after their first singles had been on rotation for more than a year. So, I guess I was pleasantly surprised to find out that one of the artistes i had critised, Durella, will be releasing that overdue debut album of his, 'Fourth Mainland Bridge' before the year runs out.
I remember a radio interview that Durella granted some time during the year where he declared that unless the Alaba boys step their offer up, the album will NEVER drop. Good to know the money came through.
In preparation for the album, Durella re-recorded the video for his widely-popular smash 'Wiskolo Wiska', take a look.
--- Another one of my favourite emcees, Naeto-C is back on his grind and is about to release the fourth video for his debut masterpiece, 'U Know My P'. The vid for ‘Ringtone’ was shot in New York and the preview surfaced on the internet recently. Enjoy.

---Lastly, fast-rising rap group, 4th Republic recently launched their album 'Fast Break Music. Just in case you don't know 4th Republic, watch this video and get familiar! The song is titled 'Mu Bottle Ye Wa' and i haven't stopped laughing at it even though i've had it for months now. Enjoy.
Holla at ur man at thechiaman@gmail.com (thanks for all the mail love)

"Its time to take whats mine" Says DURELLA the most talked about right now. His album, KING OF THE ZANGA is coming out on the 17th of November 2008 and his album listening party is live on the 16th of november at the CUBES. This is the BEST OF THE BEST. "COME ON LETS GO!"
